I wear your sweatshirt again
The one with the cast of Falcon Crest on
The one I forbade you to use time and again
Well it's sad, I keep putting it on
A friend stopped by and said as quoted:
“I can't believe that we're here again
Have you forgotten the women, the drinking, the Blues of the Eighties collection
Oh my God, you're wearing your Lorenzo Lamas again”
M-hm
Old (2005), but this had gone me by when it was originally released.

How cool is that? When we previously discussed songs that mentioned Falcon Crest, they were mostly Spanish songs, I think this is the first time I've heard an English language song include Falcon Crest in its lyrics.

Very nice and so well sung.

The family are having breakfast. Chao-Li appears, with tea and coffee. The most faithful resident of Falcon Crest has been up since the crack of dawn; done his Tai Chi, chores and most importantly already has the breakfast in him. This is the day the earthquake hits California's wine making Tuscany Valley, (a scene from season 5, 1985 - '86):

Emma: "There is something in the air, this morning. It's so heavy; so still, not even the birds are singing."

Angela: "Well there's really not much to sing about!"

It's not a song but I couldn't find a thread "Falcon Crest mentioned in films or series".

In episode 5 of season 3 of THE BOYS, a character played by Paul Reiser recalls "butter-churning half the cast of FALCON CREST at the Beverly Hills Hotel", followed by a special mention for Shannon Tweed.
To me, this sounds as obscure as the reference to THE COLBYS in AHS "Hotel" seven years earlier, and yet I suspect that many of the AHS viewers recognised the title of the short-lived prime time soap. Perhaps it could be interpreted as an Easter egg.

Since the butterchurn memory is just a throwaway comment that describes the Hedonistic nature of Paul Reiser's character (and the world he used to work in) I guess the reference had to be vague enough to be allegedly "real".
The other characters in the room are not supposed to recognise the name of the series or the actress, although one of The Boys used to watch REMINGTON STEELE when he was still living with his father, and Paul Heiser played in a guest role in that series).

Actually, the thing that came before "Falcon Crest" was the comment that superheroes "don't sweat anymore" which reminds me of Charlton Heston's comment on the Dame Edna Show that the sweat of the THE COLBYS cast was real, as opposed to the fake sweat in the other prime time soaps. I'm sure he didn't mean it.

A few episodes later it's Jane Wyman who's retconned into the THE BOYS history.
Since I respect this forum I better not describe how that happened.

I looked it up. :oops::eek:

Good thing Jane wasn't still around. That line would have killed her on the spot. Disgusting line.

Getting back to mentions of Falcon Crest, I remember the opening scene of Charlie Wilson's War where Tom Hanks and another man are sitting in a hot tub with two topless prostitutes who both say that they want to get acting jobs on Falcon Crest.

Plus, I seem to recall an episode of the Allison Janney sitcom Mom referencing VHS recordings of Falcon Crest.
