Strictly Come Dancing to get its first all-male partnership

Everyone brace yourselves for gammons denouncing the BBC for being "woke" because John Waite, who won the Great British Bake Off 9 years ago, will compete with a male partner in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The 2012 Bake Off winner described his partnership as "a great step forward in representation and inclusion".

Movie night on Strictly was brilliant!

I agree and I thought John Waite and Johannes were outstanding, they looked like 2 professional dancers. I was curious how the same sex pairing would work in a dance where there is normally a very distinct male and female role but they absolutely nailed it. I also thought Rhys Stephenson and Nancy were exceptional. As you said, movie night was brilliant.

John and Johannes delivered the best dance on the night. I would not be surprised if they make the final, in fact, I'd like them to.

So far, I can't find fault with this year's Strictly. John and Johannes have been first rate.

I thought they were just OK on Saturday whereas they were outstanding the previous week.

I have to agree. They were good this time but excellent last weekend.

Overall I'm liking Strictly so far.
