There’s no music, no buildup, and then there he is. And then Martin backing up with that look on his face, then Quint’s reaction as he looks out at the ocean and sees the shark for the first time. And then we see it swimming next to the Orca so we can appreciate its size. That scene literally gives me chills to this day. Mechanical shark or not, that scared me the first time I saw it and it still affects me now. I think it’s the best scene of the entire movie but obviously that’s very debatable.</p></blockquote><p></p>
