Ah bye bye 'The Colbys' with their UFO scene. I heard Dominique Devearux was to be in a 3rd season. A wife for Zach Powers maybe. The ratings were poor though for season two overall. Would the UFO and alien on board have been recurring had another season miraculously happened?

Probably not, and then it would have been yet another soap cop-out.
And that's why the Moldavia massacre would have worked for Dynasty's final episode. It wasn't even that different from the season 9 finale with so many characters being seriously endangered - and likely to die.

They've lost everyone and everything and decide to continue as revenge-cop duo HUSKY & BITCH.

It would be an instant smash hit and therefore another 9 seasons for the two Mrs Carringtons (and the ghost-voice of Blake).
In the pilot episode they infiltrate The Sisterhood Of Beautiful Women, a shady and wealthy cult in California led by Francesca Colby.

3. The Brides - All for the ethereal Princess Dana of Carrington! Dynasty's real Princess.
4. The Mansions - It's all about Filoli
5. The Staircase Scenes - Dynasty had so many. A pregnant woman was compelled by Satan (or the Pollocks) to fall down those stairs as soon as she clapped eyes on them. Rita slowly staring out a dying Blake, Sammy Jo sliding down that banister, the weddings, and all those entrances and exits via that staircase. And of course when Alexis takes the mansion.
