Frank seems to let his personal affinity for certain actors cloud his judgment sometimes, keeping them around because he likes them personally when in fact it would be preferable to write them out at the right time. Ideally, they would just hire him back to play some new role and not even acknowledge his resemblance to Nathan (the way no one noticed Austin looked like Franco, or that Finn looked like both Silas Clay and John McBain). He's close to the right age to play Dillon Q, for instance. I admit I just want him around for the eye candy....so sue me. :ms: They totally pulled a "Nicole Cavanaugh" on poor Maxie. On The Edge of Night in 1983, Nicole was the anchor of the WMON Evening News and was half-way into her newscast when she infamously dropped dead right there at the desk on live TV. A bad guy who was out to cause havoc in the town had poisoned her face make-up. I hope Maxie fares better than poor Nicole. She'll likely end up in Lulu's old room at Turning Woods.
