Yes, I recall Alexis explaining that Monica's lawyer (someone on the ELQ payroll) had done the will revision and had since retired....but one would think that Alexis would have done some pre-visit preparations (like, familiarizing herself with the document) before she just marched in there to read it to the Qs. But I can handwave that as the writers trying to make it all a jaw-dropping surprise for everyone. Obviously in real life, the filthy rich don't have old-fashioned wills like this---everything has to be in trusts, LLC's and all kinds of tax-avoidance structures that everyone has to sign off on and know well in advance who will get what. But that doesn't make for soapy drama, does it? GH does seem intent on living in the 1990s, what with popular home shopping channels, print magazines, and charity balls for AIDS research. Have we ever seen an extra with their face buried in a cell phone? I will concede that it would be a career killer for Martin to tamper with the will "just to spite Tracy," but the way the show was shining that 10,000 watt klieg light on him every time he vowed revenge on Tracy makes it feel like they're willing to go there. When Martin visited Drew in the hospital to tell him about the will being read, he told Drew point-blank that he (Drew) was not in it. How would Martin know that unless he had seen and read it at some point? From the wording of the will ("To my sister in spirit") I assume Monica had planned to give the estate to Tracy rather than Michael. If she had meant all along to give it to Ronnie, she would not have said "in spirit". Martin or someone seemingly only changed the name, not the whole passage, which ought to be noticed eventually. I know I keep dumping on the character, but another wild card is Marco. He works in Alexis's office, after all. When Tracy went "off on her own" instead of working with all the Sonny Haters, Sidwell mat have gotten Marco to change the will to occupy Tracy with contesting it, allowing Sidwell to continue his plans to bring down Sonny without her getting in his way. They likely thought it would also occupy Michael, who might join in contesting the will and not have time to aid his father in the war against Sidwell. ABC allows GH to have two or three professional photo shoots per year in order to keep the opening sequence up to date (the "dropping head shots"). Though they had previous shots available for Britt and Dr. O, they shot new photos for NuMichael, NuLulu, NuCharlotte, NuBrennan, even "Nathan"......but even though he is on contract, Adrian Anchondo (Marco) wasn't photographed. Never one to waste a dollar, I think his notable exclusion says that he won't be around much longer. They had a full-cast photo shoot a while back and Michael Easton (ex-Finn) was similarly excluded---right before Finn was hustled out the back door.
