What if Carly Simon had recorded "The greatest love of all"?

I've been slowly compiling a playlist of songs people (ie music writers and podcasters) refer to as Abba-like. Even if I can't always hear the connection myself, it doesn't matter. However, this latest addition, from Paul Weller's really good new album, feels very Sir Abba.

It sounds great, ABBA-esque or not. I *think* I hear some Winner Takes It All in it, with a few bleeps from Take A Chance On Me and Mamma Mia.
I'd love to hear more from your playlist.

The popularity of the Swedish band resulted in quite a few Dutch Abba knock-offs.
Not this one, actually, but now that I listen to it again it sounds as if it could be written for Frida and Agnetha's vocals.

I'm going to bed with my coverversion of Ring My Bell by José Feliciano.

It's funny to think what makes a song an Abba-like song.
The biggest hits by CLOUT seem obvious choices and yet somehow I can't imagine these songs vocalled by the Abba girls.
But I don't know if that should even be a criterion.
From Blondie's songs I would have picked "Call Me", in the style of Abba's early rock/glam-rock hits like "So Long". But perhaps that is not considered the quintessential Abba sound.
Thank God this is not like really a forum discussion topic, there would be bloodshed.

I do like this one as a Gimme Gimme Gimme-esque contender

Not a cover but an imaginary remake this time, and the more I hear it the more it sounds like it was meant to be.
