What is your opinion of the Prime Directive?

Did you see the Prime Directive a legitimate police of non interference or did you see it as a cop out?

It's well-intentioned, but there were times Kirk rightly ignored it or at least circumvented it.

Kirk wasn't the only one!

As nice as the Prime Directive was in principle (not a reference to Victoria Principal!!) the show always had various ways around Starfleet's rules & regulations!

This is why I've just sent a subspace message to Starfleet Command!

I saw it as a plot device that was frequently broken, but always for "good" reason.
