I often find child actors really annoying and hammy but they were fantastic in this, especially Alisha Weir in the lead role. The film wasn&#039;t bogged down with too many songs which is often the case in stage to film adaptations, so it wasn&#039;t overly long and it flowed really well, so I suspect that many songs in the stage production were cut for the film. This may irritate fans of the theatre show but I think it made for a better film.</blockquote>
