Didn't it start by being based in a county outside of London and was later moved to a London borough after a revamp? I never watched Family Affairs so this might have been referenced in the show but was Hammersmith and Fulham used to represent the fictional W15 postal district? I would have thought the W14 area would have made more sense as it would be the adjacent area but it is in the Kensington and Chelsea borough rather than Hammersmith and Fulham.</blockquote>
