If she hadn't escaped she would have died in the fire, or do you mean if that particular scene had never happened at all? If she had gotten any help then I'd like that person to be Pamela Lynch (for a personal backup plan that had yet to be revealed) except that she was kidnapped in those last episodes, I think? Unless that turned out to be nothing but a smokescreen! Haha. Or maybe she double-crossed The 13. If she was going to stay for the last two seasons then there had to be an element of redemption (pretty much how they did it in season 4) only to change her mind again in the last episode and nuke the entire Valley in a spectacular final scene. I still like the idea of vengeful Chase's surprise return when Angela is delivering her "good ol' days" speech and strangle her just before the Big Bang. Maybe he's in cahoots with Julia, but Angela deserves a more personal treatment - but not before he informs her that, within a few minutes, the Valley including her precious Falcon Crest will cease to exist. Just like his Californian Dream all those years ago. Epilogue scene: South-Africa. An unknown man enters a luxurious office. "It's done".
