Would the late Priscilla Pointer have suited FC?

I just heard about the death of Dallas star Priscilla Pointer. God rest her! I'm sure she would have also been very formidable in Falcon Crest, had the right role been offered. What would have been your role for Priscilla, in Angela's country?

I don't like exchanging actors between the four nighttime soaps of the '80s. I become confused.

Priscilla Pointer could have been Michael Sharpe's mother. The dynamic between them both and Lauren could have been interesting, especially regarding Michael's love for his sister. By that point, several years would have passed since Dallas, Priscilla Pointer might already have a different look with gray hair, and people wouldn't have compared her to Rebecca so much, but would simply be happy to see her in a soap again.

Maybe season 9 needed an elder stateswoman. Would Priscilla Pointer have wanted to be part of a different FALCON CREST and seen to be taking Jane Wyman's place? I don't think so. Priscilla had the acting chops to pull off such a central character i.e. the Sharpe's mother. Imho the chalice would've been a poisoned one. Which of course would have blended into the final season, with every last drop.

I think FC could well have been the other of the four, Priscilla Pointer should have joined. Rebecca was axed from Dallas much too soon, as was Digger. They were two memorable characters.
