Who would bomb South Fork? And kill an irrelevant character?

Does Lucy need attention? We all hate Val's coffee!

Clayton because really he wanted Miss Ellie to live at the Southern Cross.

DR Elby so all the women would be traumatised and he'd have them on his rich client list. And he was a ladies man after all.

Edgar Randolf and Walt Driscoll get together.

Cliff because he was pushed too far and remember what he ended up doing in TNT Dallas.

In the midquel story I wrote to connect the end of "Dallas" with the beginning of "Ewing Empire", my fanfic, Jeremy Wendell was released from prison with a vengeance, and planted bombs in the lands surrounding the ranch house. Then there was a big storm, and James, who knew about it, decided to go save the Ewings inside. They made it, but the house was destroyed and they found oil beneath (what else?).

I can definitely hear Jock saying "I'd blow it up before I let the bank or anyone take it from us."

After all, Gary was his father´s son... Remember Empire Valley?

Yeah he was a real chip off the old block.

I almost expected him to father a child from the wrong side of the tracks the way Jock did with that oaf of a Step Father of mine Ray Krebbs! :)
So you didn´t watch "Knots Landing", even the Reunion Miniseries... did you?? :innocent::NI:

I’m hoping no one would bomb Southfork because, well, there’d kind of no longer be a show to watch but hypothetically speaking I think the biggest culprit would’ve been B.D. He definitely had the motive and it would serve J.R. right to be the one responsible for the family ranch being leveled.

“Hey Bob, Pam make it out of the house okay?”

“Yes J.R., she’s accounted for and doing fine.”

“Oh, that’s too bad.”

I’ve always felt it quite possible that the dastardly Luther Frick and Peyton Allen bombed the first Southfork, and the opening scenes of the first full season showed the Ewings at their full denial best, lounging around the pool at their new “mansion” as if nothing had happened..

seen above: the explosive duo enters a room at the fabulous Westerner Motel in Waco to the scene of the aftermath of a long night of debauchery and raw adulterous lust

Calhoun did sneak in and plant a bomb in the house, didn't he?

Pamela Ewing

In a freakish turn of events when her bandages are removed - after extensive plastic surgery - we are introduced to the new Pamela Barnes Ewing. However, she is so incensed upon learning that her Prince - Bobby Ewing - didn't bat an eyelid upon learning Pamela had left Dallas she returns and blows up Southfork...with all the Ewing family in attendance.

He did actually manage to sneak into Southfork and made it look as though he'd planted a bomb to scare JR or was it an actual bomb that JR somehow immobilised?

I can't quite remember, but I recall JR being unsettled by it all and practicing with his gun.
I always got the impression that perhaps it wasn’t a bomb that was meant to go off. I think at this point B.D. was happy just messing with J.R.’s head and was still setting him up for what was to come. Of course I could be wrong but the fact that he put the bomb so close to J.R. for him to find and wrote “BOOM” on the bedroom door gives me the impression it wasn’t supposed to go off. If he really wanted to bomb the place at that point he could’ve done it much easier than that. B.D. was enjoying the fun of it all.

And he succeeded, JR was well unnerved, BD certainly rattled his cage. JR decided to improve safety at Southfork, quite hard to believe it took something like that and you'd think the Ewings would've had the best security available anyway.

Hopefully security was improved after that journalist managed to get to the front door and speak with Miss Ellie (Ray get me the shot gun) but then it seems to have been lapsed again for BD to actually get inside Southfork.

I guess he had all the right gear though and knew what he was doing. Still would've thought they'd have the most sophisticated security system in place.

“BOOM” on the bedroom door
Ahh yes, I remember now. And JR only told Bobby didn't he? Poor Sue Ellen then John Ross were later kidnapped.
