After her death, Claudia was barely mentioned on Dynasty. Only Adam mourned her briefly, the other characters didn't seem to care much about her death. But how did you feel as a viewer? Did you miss Claudia or were you maybe even glad not to have to see her anymore?

I missed her. I started watching Dynasty in season 2, and I remember finding her fascinating. Pamela Bellwood was a great actress, and I thought she deserved much better material than what she got in her last few seasons.

I didn´t really missed her but I would have prefered her instead of Sarah Curtis which was just a Claudia 2.0

The think that missed I most about her was Matthew didn´t talk/ask about her when he came back.

Her death could have been a very good reason for revenge "this rich Carringtons who buy people who
destroy people like my wife Claudia ...now I´m here Krystle to save you"

Another thing I would have preferred: The surrogate storyline would have involved Claudia instead of Karen who gives birth to Adam´s baby ....

Nolan Miller didn't miss her. Apparently, the actress became difficult -- no doubt over the scripts.

But for such an important character for 6 years, they just dismissed her in a perfunctory way (one that was very predictable by that point in the show) which was cold and perhaps vindictive. David Jacobs, creator of DALLAS, when discussing the manner in which Pam exited DALLAS, said that Victoria "didn't have the best relationship" with the executives and that that can sometimes impact what happens on screen -- like how departures are handled for the characters.

So whether Claudia -- and Amanda -- may have disappeared without a trace or a reference was because of the producers' contemptuousness or incompetence is anybody's guess.

Even Bellwood said that there were reasons "behind the scenes" that Claudia had such "a horrible death."

They even cut an important scene for Claudia just before she accidentally set fire to Colorado. That sometimes happens, but it seems unfair when your drapes are about to explode and you're preparing to leave.

I'm okay with the disposable Sarah Curtis plotline, but it went on for too long... By this time, DYNASTY had long been in a pattern of executing promising storylines in too brief a fashion, yet the claw-your-neck plots with minimal potential would last forever. (I always want her carbon dioxide suicide attempt to occur in those Carrington garages, leading to local tabloid stories dredging up the memory of the starlet Blake -- and, as it turns out, Senator Fallmont -- briefly dated, who'd committed suspicious suicide in the guest houses adjacent to those garages in the months after Alexis was thrown out by Blake. With Alexis fanning the tawdry tale from the shadows... But that's just me).

Just as I'd like the Attkinsons' surrogate storyline in Season 8 replaced with Kirby's return -- she has Adam's three-year-old child and Adam wants custody.

I missed her so much that I've watched the Claudia-less seasons once only (too many).

I missed original, thoughtful, complex Claudia after season 1. Bellwood was always good but the writing really let her down after Season 1. By the time the character died, she'd been an empty shell for years.

I would say that I missed Claudia of season through the start of season 3.

Part of me now looks back and thinks that having her come back after her original exit turned out to be a mistake since she was quickly married off to Steven and then Adam.. and seemed to be content being taken advantage of by the Carringtons. Although her final scene with Krystle was pretty good when Claudia basically called out Krystle's passivity and how that was more dangerous and harmful then anything the Carrington's ever did.

But Krystle did call out the Carringtons on their nefarious behavior -- they just never listened to her (but the sniveling caused people to tune her out).

Miss Bellwood wanted Claudia to reemerge in Season 3 cured of her mental issues... So what was there for her to do? Marry both Carringtons and then, bitter by her experiences, turn mercenary and go for their gold.

If only the show had done it a little better.

I didn't like how the writers made her character so bitter in the back half of season 6, but I missed her tremendously. Pamela Bellwood gave the best performance in Season 1 and I was so fond of her character.

All personality changes on DYNASTY can be attributed to head injuries. Claudia almost got whacked in Season 2 when Krystle shot her in the head.

In my alternative FALCON CREST, it's due to brain tumors resulting from nuclear waste buried under the vineyards.

She's just not to blame.

Probably an odd opinion to most of you, but I also missed Matthew at first... but not Season 8´s Matthew, of course.

I always thought Claudia should have become fanatically religious at the end. Maybe joining Jehovah’s witness she met in season 1 or got recruited into a sect. She would have gone around telling everybody how unworthy it is to be rich and the god is the only answer for everything.

That would have seemed too Knotsy for them (they had a history of preacher psychos...). Maybe she was part of a Tupperware group that actually was satanist? I can see that.

Why didn’t Claudia try to contact Fallon in season 6? If I lost my favourite job after the death of my boss I would try to ask her for my job back if I found out she didn’t die. Didn’t Fallon remember La Mirage and Claudia? Or was she too whiny for being a business owner anymore? Or maybe the Carringtons hid the fact of Fallon being alive from Claudia?

I wish Claudia had faked her death in flames after discovering her pregnancy. She wanted that baby to be Lindsay 2.0 but knew Adam would never agree for that nonsense so she disappeared and gave a birth to her new child. When it turned out it was a boy she decided to raise him as Lindsay anyway by hiding his real sex from the world.
