They shouldn't have gotten rid of Shelley Hack -- who was actually starting to work out and fit into the ensemble nicely. Like Cheryl Ladd once said, the producers had gotten "overly confident" that the recasts would work out alright. They had generated a lot of buzz when Ladd and Hack were brought on, but it was really too soon for another significant recast. And poor Tanya Roberts was handed the most bland Angel they could think up. Sure, she was attractive, but the character's background and having not attended the police academy weakened the core principles.</p></blockquote><p></p>
