I always wondered couldn't he afford a nice mansion like Pam's in its own grounds? They were always making him look small compared to the Ewings, like his office being in a mini tower block, rather than a skyscraper.

He could afford it but Cliff was pretty stingy and so I can see why, as a single man as well, he'd probably go for an apartment rather than a big mansion.

I'm doing a Dallas rewatch, and I just got to season 5. I've got that song running through my head non-stop, along with "You better look out! I'm not gonna wait any longer!"
Fortunately, I just finished the episode where JR got her fired because she didn't want to boink Vaughn Leland.
