In interviews Linda Gray also mentions the first episode she directed was a masquerade ball, but she is credited as directing the next episode. As neither of them were experienced directors, that might explain some of the clunkiness. Linda has said they gave her a really unusual episode to direct for the first time, as if they were deliberately setting her up for a fall.</blockquote>
