I can see how the elderly were horrified but the testosterone hot blooded guy would have been enthralled. Dallas was known to push the envelope of sex and I wish they had leaned into this further. The issue was the producers had backed themselves into a corner with an elderly cast to start with. Don't get me wrong, the likes of Victoria, Linda, Priscilla, Audrey, Fern & others could heat up the screen but the only male cast member in shape was Patrick. As the series progressed watching an aging Larry in bed with some hot young thing was beginning to look a little creepy, especially when he hooked up with Cathy. By the time the producers came to the realisation they needed to introduce younger cast members it was too late...they drifted too far from the core characters. Perhaps it would have been wiser for the introduction of JR's illegitimate son to appear earlier in the series or Jason Ewing's twins (boy/girl) to arrive at Southfork at an earlier time. These characters however should have been in their late teens.</blockquote>
