I've caught up now. Comments are from memory as I didn't make notes. I still find Jenna to be a bit selfish and not very maternal with Lucas. She brought him overseas for one reason, stayed longer for another and is now changing the boundaries again. I know he's only a child, but he has feelings and he has a life, with friends and a cultural upbringing of his own. To him Italy is home, it's what he's always known, Texas isn't home and I can totally see why it wouldn't be either, Jenna and Charlie basically interact with him the bare minimum they can get away with. Jenna really needs to make a decision regarding Ray and act on it. Reach out, contact him, sitting around waiting for him to just show up is achieving nothing. It's also kind of selfish of her to not even make contact with the Ewings in Dallas, she doesn't know any of the other stuff going on at Southfork, so it's not like she's staying away because of Pam or something. I enjoyed the JR/Sue Ellen talk in the car, I do feel like they've almost given up on the act of parenting and replaced it with supervising though. They can allow John Ross to be a teenager and enjoy himself without also seeming as if they support his actions. It's one thing to accept that he's a teenage boy and he's interested in girls and sex but it's something entirely different to not do anything to even try to control the situation. If they aren't comfortable with him dating a college girl, they should at least try a little harder to make that clear instead of assisting in the actions that go along with that. I feel like at the moment they barely even acknowledge openly that they (Sue Ellen) feel some lines are being crossed. He's in high school, they can ask him to at least remember that and act accordingly, there'll be plenty of time to date college girls soon enough. On the topic of John Ross, I wish more girls would reject him like Melissa, he's starting to get full of himself and that's dangerous. Sex and a loving relationship can co-exist, he doesn't have to be all sex-minded all the time. At the same time too, one day he's going to see a nice girl he actually has emotional feelings for who expects a lot more than he has to offer, because he's so used to thinking about the physical act only. He'll have to mature one day, I'd hope that day is coming soon. Mexico so far just reminds me of TNT Dallas and that's not a positive thing, sorry.
