I hated it for many years but after a year of having Bobby dead only for him to return was not a bad thing looking back. The show needed him and we got another year of Bobby and Pam together. The scene you mention with Pam looking over her shoulder for Katherine only for Katherine not to be there this time is a nice counter scene to the end of Swan Song. It’s perfect symmetry. Would I have preferred an explanation other than the dream? Yes, absolutely I would’ve but I’m learning to live with it.
