If it was ever going to escalate the rivalry between the two warring families it was after the death of Bobby. Heck, even Cliff's reaction upon hearing of the death of Bobby and where it occurred seem to indicate what lies ahead. I'd go so far to have Pam and Miss Ellie have an almighty row at Southfork. The writers appeared to be heading down this path with Pam confronting JR on a few occasions with his constant harassment of Cliff but especially so when Pam learns of JR's involvement with having her island hopping looking for Mark. Her confrontation in JR's office was one of the best stand-out scenes in the history of Dallas..."You filthy snake!"</blockquote>
