Yes. Imperfect though it sounds, the FWPP scenario is the only one which "could" happen in real life, so it's likely what Jacobs might have chosen had he been in control. In my alternative DALLAS history, Pam's trip to the shower, thinking she's seen Bobby, is a defense-mechanism hallucination -- Mark Graison is dead on the floor! Aware that Pam has just married Graison, Bobby appears at Jenna's door -- she's stunned ("Buhbee --- Buhbee...!") and pulls him into her room and rapes him (off-camera). Thus impregnating her. Ray and Donna lose custody of Tony because of his euthanasia-ing of Mickey Trotter, creating yet another glitch in his marriage to Donna who moves right back into Southfork when she learns she's pregnant once again by Ray. (So his new house is the one he was building, not one he suddenly "bought.") Once Bobby flatlined and was secretly revived, it turns out Miss Ellie was approached by the FBI, CIA, INTERPOL -- and probably the FCC -- with news that Angelica Nero had been hired as an assassin through a shadowy Euro-Asian network (anonymously by Katherine Wentworth before she freaked out and ran him down herself) to kill Bobby and the other Ewings, inspiring Nero's luring as many of the Ewings out of the country as possible in order to make her escape easier once the deed is done. Clayton's perturbed that Ellie didn't tell him. And JR is upset that he's going to have to return the parts of Ewing Oil he'd bought after Bobby's will was probated, now that Bobby turns out to be alive. (We'll let Paulsen find the legal precedent for that). Harve Smithfield assures JR that suing will be pointless, because the scam of executing Bobby's will was facilitated by the federal government with full IRS approval, so any litigation against his family will prove destructive and doubtless fail. JR is pissed. And when JR points out to the agents debriefing the Ewings, that his private detective had "verified" Angelica Nero's background, they'll ask the private eye's name and then look concerned at his answer, then pull a folder out of their attaché case containing a photo of JR's detective with a hairpin through his neck ("Maybe your private eye discovered something Miss Nero didn't want him to discover"). JR is startled. The day after Pam finds Graison's body, word gets around that Mark is dead -- meaning Pam is free, the revelation worrying Jenna that her renewed romance with Lazarus Ewing is already over. At the end of the first episode, Bobby appears at Pam's bedroom door. Stunned, she quietly closes the door on Bobby darkened close up. Freeze frame, fade to black. In the first scene of episode #2, Bobby opens the door and enters her room, explaining in two minutes what had happened and why --- with Pam, of course, facing the camera as Bobby talks to her back. Eventually, Pam turns to face her ex-and-future husband, and she explains that she now realizes that Bobby had appeared on the sidewalk outside Pam and Mark's reception, she saw him, gasped, blinked and he was gone, and thus imagined he was in the shower when Mark Graison was dead on the tile at her feet. No hard feelings. They're back together, Bobby and Pam. He leaves the next morning to tell Jenna "go to hell" and the rest of Season 10 precedes exactly as it did. And Harve will be able to tell the boys that Parmalee's lawsuit could potentially be effective because there "is now the precedent that Ewings execute wills of family members they know are still alive." JR and Bobby buzz their frustration, but Smithfield tells the brothers that "this is about public perception!" and that could skew the legal case. Etcetera, etcetera... Tell-tell. None of them are perfect, and most are awful. But the above-one I lay-out, as crazy as it sounds, is the only way I could think of that could work. And it only takes one episode to explain.
