To be the originator of a pop culture behemoth like ‘Dallas’ was an outstanding achievement. He was so unaffected when he discussed Dallas and made the construction of the show sound so straightforward and was sanguine in his assessment of its merits. A humble spirit with a huge talent. His recycled project all those years ago bequeathed many happy memories to a boy in Scotland who would escape from the very real torments of his own family by spending time in the company of the Ewings. And my memories are forever.</blockquote>
