As I re-watched a Making Of Halloween H20 documentary, I noticed Ghostface stuntman Chris Durand (who played The Shape in H20) commented that H20's mask controversy was something he'd previously experienced in the original Scream. Off the back of that, I found this breakdown of the different masks used in the original film. Once again KNB were the suppliers of the inferior mask, though their Ghostface mask isn't as far from the original as their Michael Myers cherub mask. I can't say I'd ever noticed how many different masks were used, and I think the angular style of the Ghostface mask and the way any single mask changes from front to side view allows for continuity changes (as in the opening scene) to go unnoticed. Later changes can easily be rationalised in-canon, if they're even spotted. After all, why wouldn't the high school pranksters buy a different version? And why wouldn't Billy and Stu have a few different masks (which may looks slightly different depending on who's wearing it)? Also, I see Scream 8 is on the way. The sixth and seventh films (which I've not watched) seem to be very poorly regarded, so I'm not expecting art.
