They were in business together due to the cartel but what if Jacqueline had married Richard's stepfather Henri Denault, when she returned for the multiple episodes arc in season 2. Would Chase have been happy for mommy dearest, much less Richard and what would Angela have made of Jackie with the man nicknamed the 'Dark Angel'?

I don't think Denault was posh enough for Jacqueline. A man like Peter Stavros was more her type.

There is posh and then there was Jaqueline but she would have married the devil himself if it meant she got more stripes in the cartel. A rotten egg like Denault would have been clawed into in no time and eventually Jacqueline became the chief anyway.


Jacqueline bumps into Angela in the winery, (a scene from season 2, 1982 - '83):

Jacqueline approaches Angela about burying the hatchet.

Jacqueline: "....The point is you're in business with my son."

Angela: "Well that's his problem and also his choice. Not mine!"

Jacqueline: "Nor mine but Chase is not about to leave Falcon Crest and that is something we both have to live with."

Angela: "You're suggesting we settle our differences, for Chase's sake?"

Jacqueline: "And for ours."

Angela: "Perhaps a truce would be in the best interests of all concerned."

No she wouldn't have married the bald fat man because of her marriage to his step brother Charbone. Although I agree with Jock about Jacqueline being power hungry, anything to climb the ladder of the cartel.
