I hadn't thought of it when watching, but this description has conjured up similarities with the Return To Eden mini-series. This is another fairly significant detail which hadn't consciously registered with me, but which goes a long way to explaining why Dynasty felt much cheaper and less authentic as the seasons went by. I probably don't need to tell you how much I enjoyed this reference. It's terrible, isn't it? Even the first time round with BTTCDS it felt awkwardly self-conscious and unfitting. Nevertheless, I must confess that Val's gurgle of excitement never fails to raise a smile.</blockquote>
