[QUOTE="CeeCee72, post: 270360, member: 5055"] I don't own any of the characters in this story and no copyright infringement is intended. This fic is an alternate timeline where the dream season wasn't a dream. It picks up of after the last episode of season 9. *** Life Is But a Dream Part 10: *** "JR, you have to promise me you'll keep your cool and let me do all the talking." "Stop stalling, Harry," JR snarled. "I know what to do." "We can't just accuse…" Harry's words were lost when Captain Lowell and Detective Roberts came into the room. "Mr. Ewing, Mr. Krebbs," Lowell nodded at them. "McSween. I should have known the reason you took a leave of absence was so that you could work for Ewing." "Captain, I have some questions I'd like to ask you," McSween began carefully. "Questions about what?" Lowell snapped. "About where my wife is," JR growled. "You may as well tell us everything. You're caught, you bastard. The only thing left for you to decide is whether or not I let you live." *** "How could this happen?!" Jerry roared into the phone. "We thought she was knocked out cold," Ellis sighed into the phone." "Has Bobby Ewing been moved?" "Yes. And we're abandoning this facility." "Why? Sue Ellen hasn't had contact with the outside has she?" "We honestly don't know," Ellis admitted. "Most likely not. She obviously remembers quite a bit. She recognized Bobby Ewing. And she got out of her room, cast and all. We can't take the chance she remembered a phone number and managed to find a phone and call someone." "Did Bobby recognize her?" "No, thank God for that." "How long until everything is out of there?" "A matter of hours," Ellis told him. "We'll be taking Mrs. Ewing to the same new facility as Bobby Ewing." "Make sure they don't see each other again," Jerry barked. "And keep her unconscious until her mind has been confused and she's lost her memories again." "That could take weeks…" "So what? Just do it! Call me when you get to the new facility. And no more screw ups!" Jerry slammed down the phone, picked up a paper weight from his desk, and threw it across the room. This was going to make things so much more complicated, especially with Mark breathing down his neck for Bobby's medical records. He took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down. It could all still be salvaged. And Sue Ellen would soon have a whole new set of memories.. Memories of him. Dr. Jerry Kenderson. The love of her life. *** "We have to go now, Angelica!" "Not until I get my hands on JR Ewing!" "JR knows exactly where his wife is by now. He doesn't need to meet with you." "I'm not leaving until that man is dead." "You misunderstand your position," the man told her in a low voice. "The CIA owns you now. Either you come with me right now, or you go to jail. Your choice." Angelica growled under her breath, but realized she had no choice. She'd give in for now. But at the very first opportunity, she'd figure out a way to get back to Dallas. And JR would finally be cold and dead in the ground where he belonged. *** Lowell sat on the cold bench in his private cell and considered his options. He'd told them enough to satisfy them, but had kept some pieces of vital information to himself. He'd given them Sue Ellen's location and had blamed the whole thing on Angelica Nero. He'd lied and said she was the one who had paid him to make sure McSween was off the case and that the investigation would lead to nothing but dead ends. He'd left Jerry Kenderson and Graison Research completely out of the story. They were focused on Angelica. And even if they caught her and she denied her involvement, no one would ever believe her. Kenderson's hands would remain clean. And as long as Lowell was the only one who knew the truth, he was sure Kenderson would use every resource at his disposal to make his legal problems go away. All Lowell needed now was a quiet way to contact the good doctor. As soon as he laid out the facts, Lowell was sure Kenderson would have him out of jail by nightfall. **" "A team of marshals is on its way to Midland to find and pick up Angelica," Detective Roberts said. "We found that Mercedes from the traffic camera at a cheap hotel there. It's been painted blue, but it's definitely the same car." McSween nodded.
