I get that it&#039;s part of a gimmick and a new role that she&#039;s playing to hype her new album. But I think it didn&#039;t go down well with some of the audience. My mom for instance really didn&#039;t get why Madonna was wearing the eye patch and wondered if she had a sight problem. She also said that she no longer admired her. She did when Madonna was in Evita. I tried to explain to her that Madonna is an actress who was just playing another role just like Evita had been a role she&#039;d played.
