Scenes involving Mary, Phyllis and Rhoda also meant an extended break for the guys, mainly due to Cloris Leachman fussing over dialogue, trying ad libs and attempting to&nbsp; rewrite scenes... particulary for episodes where Phyllis&#039;s role is less central. When asked if he ever came to watch others&#039; scenes being filmed (in the days before monitors were standard), he commented he was probably in his dressing room smoking grass. There was a lot of praise all round for Lisa Gerritsen, with The Birds...And...Um...Bees&#039; raison d&#039;être being to give her more to do.</blockquote>
