Message: <blockquote data-quote="Bobby Southworth" data-source="post: 436825" data-attributes="member: 4960"><p>In some ways, I see it working as the 2nd episode because Mary &Rhoda didn't seem all that close yet, and in the original broadcast airing, "Today I Am Mam" made them out to be best friends, right after the pilot when things were tense between them. That said, I can see that because of the lack of a lot of laughs, and probably as you mentioned, the network's apprehension of a woman refusing to see her mother, why this was held back till episode 6. It's a fine episode, though, that tugs on the old heartstrings a little, especially if you have relatives that act/acted like that.</p></blockquote><p></p>
