Lucy was telling Pam some of this story in the first episode of Dallas, trying to scare Pam "You haven't got a chance, lady".Why did Lilimae turn away Val and Lucy? Because she was scared that the record label man that she was talking with, at the time that Val knocked on the door, would find out that Lilimae was already a grandmother in her 30s.</blockquote>
