Over the course of its five-year-run, I DREAM OF JEANNIE never achieved great success. It achieved lukewarm Nielsen ratings and mostly harsh reviews from contemporary TV critics. Its greatest success came when the series went into syndication, where it remained profitable for decades. Over the years, the show has fueled a lot of popularity because of its developing popular culture statues, and there has been a few different attempts to adapt the story for the big screen.
