At the end of season five the producers were pretty certain the show wouldn't be renewed; they filmed an episode with Tony telling Dr. Bellows the truth about Jeannie as a possible series finale but hedged their bets by including an "out" that it had been a dream. Apparently they had considered editing out the dream resolution if they were given a heads-up from NBC (that the show hadn't been renewed) prior to broadcast. The episode aired with the revelation that Tony was dreaming and hadn't told Dr. Bellows.</p></blockquote><p></p>
