I think it's impossible to accurately assign number values, but I'll give a shot at ranking the Dallas episodes (not including fake Dallas aka TNT Dallas).

Season 6
Season 3
Season 7 (would have placed 2nd if not for the distasteful Peter storyline)
Season 5
Season 4
Season 2
Season 1
Season 8
Season 10
Season 12
Season 13
Season 9
Season 11
Season 14

Regarding the Peter storyline, the first time JR told Sue Ellen he thought Peter had a crush on her, Sue Ellen replied: "JR you have a sick mind! He's just a child!"

Yet they went ahead with the storyline away. Unreal.

For what it's worth, here's my estimation:

Season 3
Season 4
Season 5
Season 6
Season 10
Season 2
Season 1
Season 7
Season 8
JR Returns
Season 11
Season 9
Season 12
War Of The Ewings
Season 13
Season 14

Not sure if you can accurately rate TNT Dallas alongside this, like most people think, original Dallas will always be the true version of the show.

I don't know how you rate TNT Dallas alongside it either. TNT Dallas was synthetic; original Dallas was the real thing. If anyone has any doubts, try to picture Jock Ewing in TNT Dallas.

Any "Dallas" where Jock Ewing doesn't fit in isn't Dallas. Without Jock Ewing there is no Ewing Oil, Southfork doesn't get saved from foreclosure, and JR, Bobby, and Ray don't exist.

[Piggyrella Sanderson]

(Original numbering, not Warner´s absurd one)

1- Seasons 1-2, 5-6
2- Seasons 3, 7-8 & The Early Years
3- Seasons 4, 10, 13 & TNT Dallas´ Seasons 1-2
4- Seasons 11-2
5- TNT´s Season 3, JR Returns & War of the Ewings

PS: Isn´t this MAD caricature amazing? Look at Kathy darling trying to catch Bobby...There´s even Pornstache Mark and poor Peter...

[Clubsoda]

Mini Series - Season 9 (1978 - 87) = Perfection

Everything else that aired after = Trash

My ranking (Not including the TNT show)

J.R Returns (Why am i picking this as number 1? Because it felt like a perfect ending to the series in my opinion. For me, this is where Dallas ended!)
Season 7
Season 8
Season 10
Season 1/Miniseries
Season 3
The Early Years
Season 6
Season 2
Season 4
Season 5
Season 9
Season 14
Season 12
Season 13
War Of the Ewings
Season 11

[Bobby Southworth]

Season 3 1979-1980
Season 4 1980-1981(The latter half here was a bit of a downer, but it's a season with Jock, and at that, his final. Jock was always so entertaining, and the first half of the season was still riding high from season 3)
Season 10 1986-1987
Season 2 1978-1979(mostly solid season, but while I love the solid family dynamic, the show was still somewhat finding itself).
Mini Series(Season 1)
Season 6 1982-1983
Season 11 1987-1988(I mostly have seen this season lambasted, but outside of the way Pam, and Bobby's reaction, or lack of reaction, really was handled, this was still Dallas).
Season 7 1983-1984
Season 5 1981-1982
Season 13 1989-1990(hey, they were still trying)
Season 12 1988-1989
Season 8 1984-1985(Just mostly a bore of a season. Way too much Jenna. The document, and possible division of Ewing Oil was worthwhile, though).
Season 14 1990-1991(hey, they were no longer trying).
Season 9(31 episode Lifetime movie)

Of the movies, Early Years
JR Returns
War Of The Ewings(Why, Oh why was this so hastily thrown together? I remember going on the last half hour or so, my mom was like, "can you believe this is almost over?" Meaning, all this time, and nothing significant has happened, and it didn't.

I enjoy parts of the TNT Dallas for what it was, but with what they did to Cliff, especially, I just can't really count it as part of the real thing.

[southfork88]

(Original numbering, not Warner´s absurd one)

1- Seasons 1-2, 5-6
2- Seasons 3, 7-8 & The Early Years

4- Seasons 11-2
5- TNT´s Season 3, JR Returns & War of the Ewings

Like my ranking today and I also count 13 seasons, not 14 as Warner later established.

2. Season 6 (1982-1983)

[The Eyes of Laurie Marr]

It’s great to see Season 10 growing in reputation as the years pass. Only several years ago it was considered an eccentric choice.
