RIP John Ashton 76 (Willie Joe Garr)

[Billy Wall]

He was mostly famous for playing Detective Taggart in the Beverly Hills Cop franchise, but he was on Dallas in the early seasons during the "Red File" storyline.

Jeb Ames and Willie Joe Garr were great villains in that early period of Dallas. I was only surprised that they didn't return to Dallas again after pretending to be the kidnappers of baby John Ross.

RIP

I never realized that was John Ashton! I was so used to seeing him with facial hair.

I never realized until recent years just how many shows from the 70s and 80s he had cameos in. Nice to see he got to play Detective Taggart one last time earlier this year too. Looks like it was his final role.
