It didn't make it to the air, but it explains why they insisted that there was an intro early on. It's more "classic" Dynasty.

Personally I don't like either of them. The Dynasty theme deserves a full orchestra.

I like the tune, of course. I have always felt the title sequence for the reboot is too rushed, and the one in Tommie's post is even more frenetic than the one they actually air. They should not try to fit twelve series regulars into a thirty-second sequence (right now it's eleven, but EH's Alexis will have to be added in soon).

This rumored "musical episode" (supposedly tomorrow night's) would be an ideal time for them to splurge a little bit and do a splashy, full-orchestral, 90-second opening titles sequence with all the bells and whistles of the original. They could use it for social-media promotions and the like.

I actually like the unaired version better, both visually and musically.
But at this point, this hour is beyond redemption as having any connection to the original. I may warm up to it if it comes with a warning that "names and events bare no resemblance to the original show and any rare similarity is completely incidental."

I am not a fan of the still pictures in rapid pace flashing by. I prefer moving images or only one image per actor.
