I wouldn't change Season 9 nor the cliffhanger. If there was a Season 10, I'd end it like this: During this dark, nighttime dinner, before Sable returns from the powder room, Alexis would reveal to her sister that her detectives in Europe have determined that in the later-summer and fall of "19...." (the year never specified in the script, because Joan wouldn't say it) there had been absolutely no contact at all between Alexis' mother, Minx Morell and Adolf Hitler, preventing any possibility that Alexis, born the following May, could be der Fuhrer's offspring. Alexis than adding that the romance between Adolf and Minx was "re-ignited" a couple of years later, Alexis smirking at the possibility that indeed Caress could instead be Hitler's daughter. Sable walks back into the dining room and asks, "What did I miss?" almost cheerily as she returns to her seat. Caress looks like she's about to pass out from the revelation, and Alexis quips, "Oh, nothing...," as she sticks a piece of Veal Francaise into her mouth with a fork. And if there was a 2001 REUNION, they could still end on that sweet "last dance" between Blake & Krystle -- but not before Caress is killed upstairs in the mansion by, say, Eva Braun, armed with a German luger and fitted with a silencer, Lady Hitler determined to find Heinrich Himmler's crystal skull she'd been searching for for 45 years. Unawares that Alexis, Fallon and Adam are flying back to London on ColbyCo's corporate jet after Blake wins his court case, Alexis trying to convince Adam that Kirby is not his biological half-sister yet not to marry her anyway. With the crystal skull secretly in tow, Alexis hovering over it as it glows green in its black velvet carrying box after her children have retired to their sleeping cabins. If Krystle never becomes a clairvoyant healer during Season 8 just shortly before she leaves for that Swiss clinic in Season 9, and if Alexis is never jarred into panic in Season 10 that Hitler may have been her biological father, then the characters of Krystle & Alexis -- and the program around them -- just have no meaning. It's got to happen.
