JR made it very clear in an early episode that he didn't care to see Sue Ellen in lingerie. So she probably didn't even buy any after that. Plus, Sue Ellen was supposed to be a "lady". Whatever that was supposed to mean on Dallas. Hence JR's dislike of her wearing lingerie. Even though there is nothing wrong with women wearing lingerie. But I also didn't find Pam's magical business knowledge very believable, either. She reads a few books, and voila! Pam is suddenly gaining respect in the oil community. The writers loved to turn Pam and Sue Ellen into Mary Sues with all of this business stuff.
