1. Sue Ellen and Cliff The first one that came to mind. I think of this as THE Dallas affair. The characters' (different) motives were entirely believable and it added a new, personal layer to the feud. 2. Sue Ellen and Dusty Their initial meetings showed a soft, honest side to Sue Ellen's character that was previously unseen. And the chemistry was great. 3. JR and Kristin There were never such devoted sisters. 4. Bobby and Pam If Pam had been faithful to Ray, there may have been no Dallas. The early tension between Bobby and Ray was fantastic. And they dabbled in affair territory in their Season Seven reunion while Bobby was still technically with Jenna. 5. Ray and Sue Ellen A rare example of soapy revenge sex staying between the two parties. Which made me feel particularly privileged as a viewer-stroke-witness. 6. Ray and Bonnie I love that poignant, wordless moment where Donna watched Ray as he slept, weighing up if he was worth fighting for. 7. JR and Garnett JR at his playground best, not resting until he gets to play with the other boy's toy. This time the consequences were long term for Ray and another Ewing brother. 8. Jock and Julie Grey The classic emotional affair, handled perfectly by Miss Ellie. 9. JR and Holly Worth it all for that rather magnificent doe-eyed, lip quiverin', chest heavin' freeze frame as Sue Ellen caught them in the act. 10. Ray and Donna Introducing a new character as the other woman is hard to recover from. Unless the character is played by Susan Howard. Special mention: JR and Abby If it had been shown on Dallas rather than Knots Landing, this would have been at the top end of my list. A two-way crossover could have been interesting here.
