The implication that all these characters incorporate traits of Alexis means those characters become homogenized. It looks like we're witnessing a competition on who delivers the best put down. This is exactly what turned me off the original. The original premise of Kyrstle entering a world she knew little about was enticing. The slow pacing of Dynasty - in hindsight - actually helped it by cementing the characters so by the time Alexis arrived in season 2 it gave the show its foothold on the viewer. Dynasty 2.0 looks like all the characters have been shot out of the same cannon. The trailer did not offer a character I liked. They're just all mean.
