[QUOTE="Daniel Avery, post: 440815, member: 27"] Most of the early buzz is that he is indeed lined up to be love interest for Lucas, that since it would be tacky to have them pair up this soon, this story of Joe giving Curtis the stink-eye, is just something to keep him busy/relevant before they move him toward Lucas. It's been kind of interesting to watch them write him as "the voice of the audience" in viewing the favoritism and coziness of law enforcement with the lawless with suspicious eyes. As for Brad, I don't think Sidwell knows who Brad even is, beyond perhaps the nephew of his would-be foe, Selina Wu. Curtis has become progressively unlikeable in the past two/three years. His waffling between Jordan and Portia was standard soap fare, but his possessiveness about the baby is unpleasant to watch and makes Portia look weaker than she ought to. Curtis used to be a good guy who was good friends with Nina and Laura, but his recent scenes with both seemed to amplify how he has changed and no longer "fits" with them. It will be interesting to see if the revelation of who was driving the other car (likely BLQ) will give him a wake-up call that he's changed into a jerk, or if they're trying to make him this unlikeable for good. If he is found guilty and has to make a huge settlement to Isaiah, Michael might be forced to exercise the morals clause in Curtis's Aurora contract and pull him out of the CEO position. I hope I'm wrong, but I can't help but wonder if Serena is being brought in as a substitute or place-holder for Maxie and her type of shenanigans...like maybe a plotline written for Maxie will be re-edited for her since the story couldn't be cut.
