Deep Water (2022) I'll cut to the chase, I hated this film. It's hard to fully describe the plot because it's confusing and I'm trying to erase this dross from my memory. Vic (played by Ben Affleck) is married to Melinda (Ana de Armas) and appears to tolerate her affairs with a succession of young men and until the lovers are found dead. All the characters in this film aren't particularly likeable so I didn't really care what happened to them and I thought the story was slow and ponderous. This film was meant to be a thriller but it had very few thrills. The mystery is whether or not Vic is the killer of his wife's lovers but this is revealed mid way through the film and the film became a case of whether the killer would be found out and brought to justice. The only part of the film that I really like was the scene in the middle of the closing credits in which their young daughter sings along to Leo Sayer's You Make Me Feel Like Dancing while strapped in a seat belt in the back of a car driving down the street.
