What's ahead for Liam?

basically Liam's character arc thus far pretty much consists of him marrying Fallon right off the bat just minutes after meeting her, (under a false name, mind you), then after he gets exposed for the fraud that he is, he then writes a manuscript that supposedly contains details about his very dysfunctional and very rich family, and then we are introduced to his creepy and perverted uncle for only one or two episodes until he somehow croaks, and then we get introduced to his psycho and verbally and possibly emotionally AND psychologically abusive mom, and on top of that we are dealing with a bizarre fake marriage that they have to uphold just so Fallon can complete the sale of Carrington Atlantic to the Van Kirks.

All right (sigh) I shouldn't have quoted that part of Rottenskipper's post and instead I should have said: isn't that enough story?
Because I have no idea what she wants from this character. Sitting behind a typewriter all day long?

I can't speak for other posters. As for myself, since I s̶l̶o̶b̶b̶e̶r̶ ̶o̶v̶e̶r̶ like Liam, I wish the show would have offered something that would make me believe he has ties. His family bought the company (big mistake on peach Dynasty's part to dump it) but after a short transition period he and Fallon will no longer be needed. He has no other connection to the Carringtons. Granted, right now both Culhane and Liam are Fallon's boy toys (one so last season though) but I don't care about Culhane. Or, you know, I care about him as much as I care about his family whose approval he craved so much, whose father died and made him so hell bent on revenge, and now he doesn't even know their zip code.

I wouldn't be too worried about it, I'm actually surprised he's still in it.
And there are so many ways to keep a character in the story (if that's what they want) it doesn't have to be Fallon.

He was a single plotline character (she married him to out-fox Jeff Colby) and like I said, he's still there.

Well, Liam is no longer there. As I was afraid, his lack of connection to the Carringtons and his lack of ties took him out and left us with the dud that Culhane has turned out to be.

I'm pretty sure he will be back, especially once they let Michael's storyline hit the proverbial fan. They're likely just giving his character a rest for a while similar to the break they're giving Steven. If they un-do this whole "selling the company to the Van Kirks" story (which, I hope they will), he will have to be involved.

Who knows? It may have occurred to the producers that there is too much going on in Fallon's life, that they need to spread around the storylines to the rest of the cast. Imagine that.

Actually Liam will be back in "The Sight of You", the eleventh episode of season 2.
