Why didn't Donna visit the ”Sam Culver Library” BEFORE writing her books?

Drives me nuts how Donna never bothered to visit the ”Sam Culver library” before writing two ”bestseller books” about him Or rather; Culver Jr didnt even let her know there was such a thing until much later. Too funny.
