He was great to watch as Wendell. He enunciated words in such an imperious and precise manner that he gave the impression of being in a permanent state of irritation with those who were beneath him ( and for Wendell that meant everyone). There was a pathology to JR’s actions. It was more difficult to discern one with Wendell and that made him a much darker character than the show’s titular villain.
