This was the topic of an original Soap Chat forums. This song was heard at the beginning of the episode appropriately entitled "Weak Moment", the one immediately following Laura's memorial in the double-parter, "Noises Everywhere". I recall it being said that one of the Mandrell sisters (I think the younger one) was the singer. Is there an official recording of it out there somewhere? Maybe the version used on the show?

And while I'm at it, are there any official recordings of the Ciji/Cathy songs the show used?

I don't know about Weak Moment, but two of Lisa Hartman's albums feature songs used in the show.


Hold On features a couple of Cathy songs:
  • You Keep Me Hangin' On
  • Don't You Love Me Anymore


Letterock features several Ciji songs:
  • If Love Must Go
  • Hole In My Heart
  • Games
  • New Romance (It's A Mystery)

Thanks. I found a copy of "Weak Moment" (recorded by Gail Farrell) on You Tube. It's clear, but it still has Gary and Valene's brief discussion about their affair in it. At first I wasn't too sure how I felt about there being conversation in it, but now it seems as if it is just meant to be in the song. It fits the mood and everything.

Does anyone know who sings the song "Surprise Me In The Middle of the Night" which was used on Knots Landing for the montage sequence in Series 11, Episode 29, LETS GET MARRIED. Its such a beautiful song. It's probably a country music song. The Lyrics are amazing. I've tried to find that song for 25 years.
