In a survey conducted by Variety, the salaries of the highest-paid actors on TV have been unveiled, with the wealthy stars of HBO's fantasy epic very high up in the drama category.

Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) make a somewhat sickening grand total of $500,000 per episode.

Tyrion, Cersei, Jon, Daenerys and Jaime are seen as the biggest stars of the show by HBO, which explains why they make the most cash - but does it mean they're going to make it to the end?

Just last month, Sansa Stark actress Sophie Turner revealed a Game of Thrones shocker when she said more people will die in season seven.

"We've got one more season... well, not all of us," Sophie explained.

Alexander Siddig, the actor who played Doran Martell, has also said that he was pissed about his character randomly getting killed.

Though it seems he's not receiving the $500,000 pay cheque per episode, as Siddig added: "You don't earn as much as you would if you were doing another show, because they're Game of Thrones, and they don't have to pay anyone. So it's kind of a blessing in disguise."

Game of Thrones will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in summer 2017 - later than its usual April launch.

Woah! That was a lot!!! Not NBA/NHL/Football a lot, but TV actor a lot.

It's no surprise it's the 5 of them though. All you need to do is check the opening. Who is credited first.
1. Peter Dinklage
2. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
3. Lena Headey
4. Emilia Clarke
5. Kit Harington

I always check the opening/closing, who is credited when, because it always says what actors are considered most important or who they think are the stars. :)

Considering GoT only has 13 episodes left, spread out on 2 seasons, I'd be really surprised if they didn't kill off a bunch of people during the short 7th season. Cause after then, we only have 6 episodes left!!!

:sad::sad::sad::sad::sad:

To normal people it seems like a lot but to lead a role in an international megahit that will generate billions, with B, it is well earned and with such a limited run and with the hit it is the are smart to get the maximum they can. Jobs will not pay as well that come after, if they follow the trajectory of most stars of hit series. One hit and you are out!

The producers and creators will continue to get paid for decades to come, some for the rest of their lives and that $500,000 will be dwarfed by what their per episode take is. HBO too will rake it licensing the show forever. They are really getting peanuts compared the revenue stream the show will generate in total.

I think it´s fair to add how much the extras are being paid by day in the current filming in Spain: 54 euros. And I wonder: is this fair? There is also a strong rumor that casting peopled are being BRIBED by fans who are dying for appearing in GoT (which, considering the body count in this show, it´s probably a given that they will die in it!):
