He was accused of killing…Dynasty's Andrew Laird's son?

Yes. Only by the time the truth came out he had gone through two different faces and didn't look like Andrew Laird anymore. And there's also the fact that it turned out he wasn't actually Andrew Laird's (or any of the other CC's) son and the real Channing was alive and well and thinking he was Brick Wallace, because Minx had switched the babies at birth.

Why did she do that? Or is too complicated?

Minx knew the truth, that Channing wasn't CC's son, but rather he was the product of an affair that Sophia had with Minx's son, Lionel. Minx couldn't bear the thought of her grandchild being raised as a Capwell, so she switched the babies. Minx has been meddling in Brick's (the real Channing's) life to sort of better his life, in her opinion, and Brick doesn't understand (yet) why Minx is so interested in helping him.

I do like the premise of it! Was it ever explained why there was a Capwell/Lockridge feud in the first place?
Btw, it appears that all episodes are on you-know-what-site!

I think it may have been vaguely explained but I can't recall any specific details other than the feud goes back a couple of generations and I think it has something to do with a sunken ship with treasure on it.

Yes! That's where I'm watching and the episode quality is very good.

I assume they mean youtube. I mean, I don't know why they would not just say the name...but I doubt it's on pornhub or something.
I did check Youtube but they are definitely not all on there, and on Dailymotion they are all in French! Are they going to tell us?!?

Hi - I sent you a private message last night with a link to the playlist I’m watching. It’s YouTube. We are always jokingly/not jokingly afraid to mention on the forums what site we find some old series on for fear drawing attention to it will mean it ends up getting taken down. It’s on YouTube. No, every single episode isn’t on their yet but there’s at least the first 700 episodes or so and the person is still uploading videos. I imagine it takes quite a while to upload every episode of a five day a week series that ran for 7 years.

The show continues to be thoroughly enjoyable.

Kelly is wracked with guilt over sleeping with Dylan, while celebrating her engagement to Nick.

Mason and Mary are over. Mason is currently sleeping with Janice. The show is trying SO hard to make Janice a hit, but the actress just doesn't work for me. She's also dealing with a stalker after posing nude for a magazine. And I just don't care.

Cruz and Eden have some heart wrenching scenes where Eden finally makes Cruz see that it's over. Then there's lots of episodes of angsty, longing glances etc and it's all really great. Kirk realizes that they are still very much in love and to make Eden more dependent on him he sends her blackmail notes, making her think someone saw her pull her father's plug. The ploy works, at least initially and Eden starts to turn to Kirk more. Kirk has also unearthed solid proof--the wig and dress that Gina has been hiding in Brandon's teddy bear--that Gina is the one who pulled CC's plug.

Gina has kidnapped Brandon and run off to Orange County with him. Cruz and Santana are growing closer as the try to track them down.

Brick finally knows that he is Channing Capwell. Dame Judith was really really good in the scenes where Brick comforts her and she admits the truth.

Is Santana a villain? I found her introduction so...typical.

Could there be a surprise pregnancy?

Boy, the show is really shoving Janice down our throats. Lately she's been in more episodes than Eden or Kelly. First she's the Lockridge chauffeur, then she's flirting with Warren, then she's Dylan's ex girl friend, then she's posing for nude pictures for Nick, then she's dating Mason and then she's revealed to be Mark's ex wife who falsely testified for him to get him cleared of malpractice charges, plus now she has a stalker. The actress is likable but she's just not strong enough to carry all this material and in spite of now being connected to half the town, she's not someone who I tune in to watch.

Kirk continues to send Eden blackmail notes and his schemes pay off when a shaken Eden finally consummates her marriage with him. He's so diabolical and it's really fun to watch.

Brick learning that he's Lionel and Sophia's son is the best thing to happen to the character. Richard Eden has been great as Brick grapples with the truth and it's given him and Amy some really nice scenes as he comes to terms with his identity. There's so much chemistry and spark between Brick and Amy and now that he's connected to the show's two main families, they should have been a core couple that stuck with the show for years. Unfortunately that's not what's going to happen.

After running off with Brandon, Gina learns that the courts have given custody of Brandon back to her, so they return to Santa Barbara, after a cat fight with Santana who can't stand that she's lost Brandon again. Robin Mattson really is brilliant in the role, she can go from down on her luck loser to gloating bitch in the blink of an eye.
Is Santana a villain? I found her introduction so...typical.

She's not a villain. She's mostly a wasted opportunity. Santana comes from the wrong side of the tracks and managed to build herself into a glamorous, wealthy decorator. They should have made her a scheming bitch who was constantly a thorn in the Capwell's side. She was the closest to this in one of her earlier incarnations played by Ava Lazar, who is my favorite of the Santana's. In her current incarnation she's mostly a Cruz and Eden spoiler and a doormat. The current actress plays her in a very neurotic, watchable way, but it's very different to the character's potential.

Could there be a surprise pregnancy?
"We need to talk....."
I don't think it ends up going that way, but I don't remember for sure. I do remember that ultimately it ends with Kelly shoving Dylan out of the window of the Capwell Hotel where he plunges to his death and Kelly institutionalized so that Robin Wright can go off to film The Princess Bride.

I really love how the writers make use of everyone living together under the Capwell roof—Mason taunting Eden by telling her he heard her through the thin bedroom walls consummate her marriage to Kirk, Eden causing a ruckus when she discovers her father is coming out of his coma and rousing everyone who end up gathering in their bathrobes to gape at CC and argue. The show during this period does a good job of playing up the tension and friction that comes from living with people you don’t like. It’s fun.

I think the annoying frequency of recasts is what doomed Santana, and the Andrade family as a whole. When trying to remember the character, I can't put a face to the character at all. I mean, I know there were multiple CCs and multiple Kellys, but at least I can imagine Jed Allan and Robin Wright when someone mentions the characters.

Frequent recasts, paired with frequent changes in motivation, career, and/or family interactions makes a character generate less interest/loyalty among the viewers over time. It ends up being a "diminishing returns" scenario, and Santana fell into that trap. It seems to happen to legacy characters the most, however.
