Do I detect a bit of an "intense and dangerous but hot" theme with many of the men in your list Willie?

Well, the thing is, I was working on my list of the usual and much celebrated suspects and I got a little bored with it. Sod the 80s bitch empowerment!
It's not an anti-list for the heck of it and I can totally justify every vote, but I wasn't in the mood to elaborate since I was also working on my last Hammer House review.

But Tom Callaghan, really, he's husband material and you also want him to be your best friend and he can fix you after a semi-fatal staircase moment, that's pretty close to divinity imho.
Peter De Vilbis, I'm a proud fan of one of the most hated Dynasty characters. That makes him pop, too.

My list won't make any difference and that's fine with me. Let Katherine and Alexis battle it out, they can do that without my help.

I love a celebration of the underdog and a break from the usual suspects. My list is perhaps 30-40% characters who probably won't make anyone else's list, but seeing your list has reinforced that I could have been a bit braver and bolder. There are a number of characters in your Top Twenty who have piqued my interest. And you've reminded me of the virtues of a few others. Such as...

Every comment about The Flying Doctors tells me it's even better than I remember (and with no shortage of the divine).

Oh, no problem at all Jessie. It's easily done with a name like this. I had a quick look online out of curiosity, and there's a real-life actress called Mary Beth Evans, so that's probably why.

It just made me smile because it conjured up all kinds of images of Mary Beth secretly remarrying someone from deepest, darkest Wales.

Yes, Mary Beth Evans is a very popular daytime TV actress in the USA, having played Kayla Brady on Days of our Lives on and off for decades. Mary Beth Lacey's various travails would look like a walk in the park compared to Kayla's, though.

I admire how they used her exit to make a statement about how the stories and direction of the series had gotten too reliant on violence/death. Almost (almost) a confession that they were not in a good place, creatively.
