I think the scene that gets me to this day is when we first see the shark. There’s no music, no buildup, and then there he is. And then Martin backing up with that look on his face, then Quint’s reaction as he looks out at the ocean and sees the shark for the first time. And then we see it swimming next to the Orca so we can appreciate its size.

Yes. It's one of the best film reveals, and you've pinned exactly why. It just comes out of nowhere.

Now this is a damned good trailer. I love the way it uses all available footage from John Hancock's shoot, interspersed with some a couple of other shadowy moments. It all looks so eerie, atmospheric and ominous:

I love the choice of music, as well. It's so eerie, and not the typical music most people think of when they hear the name Jaws. It's made me want to bump up The Photo in my favourite Jaws 2 tracks.

I'd love to see what this YouTuber would do with trailers for the other three Jaws films. If they can make Jaws The Revenge look dark and mysterious that would be a real achievement!

Ooh... A Jaws 2 steelbook has been released today.

How could I not? It will look great next to my Jaws steelbook.

August is a bit late, though. On years where I watch Jaws 2 it's always close to my late June/early July Jaws watch. I had planned to watch the sequel this year, so I'll hold out until it's delivered.

Jaws 3-D is apparently on the way as well.

Jaws 3 is now on sale and I've ordered both films. Looking forward to seeing them in all their steel glory when they arrive in August:

I'm glad I got in quickly with them as Jaws 2 now appears to be sold out (though I know Zavvi often release only a very small number to begin with so people panic when it's sold out).

Still no sign of Jaws The Revenge, but they can't not release it now. I need a complete set.

Something that I've always been curious about but haven't dared ask until now is - when Michael is in hospital suffering from 'mild shock', Ellen asks him if he wants anything from home and he says 'my cars'. She goes on to ask him 'what about ice cream?' and he says 'Coffee'.

Does he mean coffee flavoured ice cream, or does he want a cup of coffee?? @Mel O'Drama

Yes it’s ‘I’ve got Sean’ lol although to be fair you wouldn’t think it since the 3 year old is left alone on the beach to roam into shark infested waters and get trampled on by all the natives of Amity Island. And all he wants is the Muffin Man.

Did Michael Brody want coffee flavoured ice cream? Or just coffee?

I've long thought he was asking Ellen to bring him in a flask of coffee to drink, but as time goes on I'm less sure. After all, isn't coffee a little inappropriate for someone of Michael's age?

Good old Twitter. It's obviously open to interpretation with a third of voters thinking he wanted a drink of coffee.

Now we're talking about this I have a sudden craving for coffee flavour ice cream. It's many many years since I've had some.

It's yer woman's tweet about the strawberry that cracks me up.

I have to admit being one of only a few, if not the only person I know who wouldn't thank you for ice cream, although from what I remember about coffee ice cream, it's one I could tolerate. I've just never understood the appeal of eating ice cold things. Same with ice coffee. Coffee is meant to be warm.

What the hell does this have to do with Jaws?
